Free, and honest about the rest.
Core is free forever and runs with no account. The paid tier is not finished, so there is nothing to buy on this page — just what it will be, and the price I am testing.

Core's limits are hard array sizes in the firmware rather than licence checks — there is literally no fourth mapping slot for a Core device to hold. That is why Core keeps working the same way whether or not anything else ever ships.
Questions
Is Core a trial?
No. It is free permanently and it is a complete product — three mappings on one console covers the jobs most self-mixing bands actually need. There is no countdown and no nag.
Why can I not buy Extended today?
Because I could not deliver it if you did. Extended is unlocked by a mobile app over Bluetooth, and that app is not finished. Taking money for something that does not exist is how you end up owing strangers a refund and an apology.
Is that price final?
No, and I would rather say so than pretend otherwise. It is the number I am testing. Anyone who buys at a founder price keeps it.
Will Core get worse when Extended ships?
No. Nothing that works in Core today will move behind the paid tier. Taking away a free feature is how projects lose the people who backed them early, and I would rather not learn that lesson personally.
Who is actually behind this?
One person, plus whoever turns up with a pedal and an opinion. That is not a humblebrag — it is a thing you should know before you build a device around it. Mixing Station is a solo project too and runs a million installs; small is workable, but it means the roadmap is honest about what one person can get through.
What happens to my pedal if you disappear?
It keeps working. Core runs entirely on your own network, the configuration page is served by the pedal itself, and the device can clone itself onto a new board without me. Core operation stays local and does not depend on my service continuing to exist.
